danielle murrell cox is a minimalist graphic designer and a published illustrator, specializing in flat cartoon-style art. She is best known for her self-published colouring books Black Queens and Black Kings. The colouring books gave her the opportunity to work with HarperCollins and together they released the board book, “My Hair”. In addition to her work as a graphic designer and illustrator, she is the founder of the toy brand, “Zuri & Dre.”

Misé is an award winning Kenyan-Canadian multidisciplinary artist dedicated to innovating across digital and traditional disciplines to create work that brings people together around the ideas that can optimize the quality of our experiences as human beings in modern times. Drawing from a lifetime in the performing arts and a decade in youth mentorship, his work has been featured at the National Arts Center, on CBC and impendingly, as an Artistic Director for the National Black Canadians Summit.

She has been playing violin since the age of four and thrives on a variety of styles from folk to jazz and classical. She holds violin performance degrees, a Graduate Certificate in University Teaching, and a PhD specializing in Irish music. Balancing a career as a professional musician and part-time professor, Kate loves working with students of all ages and abilities, focusing on community music making.

I foster space for crucial, creative, physical activity through dance, choreography and performance making with students of all ages and abilities. With over 20 years of professional dance & multi-art practice, I focus on solo and collaborative creation as well as fundamental ballet, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary dance techniques. I’m Joy, a Venezuelan-Canadian theatre performer, storyteller, and teacher. As a theatre artist, my story features heavily in what I create. I know from my personal experience that finding a sense of belonging in the world is challenging. I also know there are a million reasons why youth don’t feel at home in their own skin. Through physical, vocal, and written theatre exercises, I hope to give students the tools to explore their own lives, and find empowerment by telling their own stories.

I took a 10 year break from working within the Quebec Education System; but have found myself in a place where I'd love to connect with teachers and students again; especially on the island of Montreal and surrounding regions in Quebec.

Educated in Environmental Design, Laura as a professional designer worked in luxury lighting, with three meter high paper walls and renovated an Airstream as a portable vacation home. In her ceramics practice, she’s exploring a speculative future to create an order of reality other than the one she has been given. In 2021 she founded atelier clé, a collective ceramics studio that focuses on sharing experiences in clay with new generations and with underrepresented communities in the medium.

Introduced and taught steelpan programs to Montreal public schools and communities since 1990. Taught at the TDSB while completing a PhD in ethnomusicology at York University. Established a family steelpan school to promote the culture. Family music group, steelpan workshops, lectures on cultural history, authored steelpan textbooks. Excited to teach and share these cultural experiences. My aspirations: that steelpan programs become accredited programs in Montreal public schools like Toronto.
