I’m Viviana Gonzales, a Bolivian-Mexican poet, playwright and actress. Living and creating across Bolivia, Spain, Mexico, Argentina and the United States has shaped my multicultural vision. Through literature, theatre and creative practice, I invite children and adults to explore how language, memory and imagination connect different worlds. My workshops are collaborative spaces where every person’s experience becomes part of the creative process.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

What if you could step inside someone else’s worldview, just for a minute?
In my workshop, I Lend You My World for a Minute, I invite students on a journey through the living cosmologies of the Andes and Mesoamerica.
The experience begins without introduction: I enter as a masked figure and perform an ancient legend, transporting the classroom into another realm of storytelling, ancestors, and nature. Together, we explore the concept of “otherness” and discover that, when we truly understand the other, there are far fewer boundaries between us than we imagine—we are all part of a shared humanity.
Through hands-on mask-making, creative writing, and one-minute performances, students embody a new perspective and give voice to their own creations.
As a poet, playwright, and theatre maker with experience leading projects across South America, Mexico, and the United States, I draw on oral tradition and performance to nurture empathy, imagination, and artistic confidence in students.
