As a Quebec-based muralist, I transform schools through collaborative large-scale art. My unique approach empowers students with the absolute freedom to paint, while I maintain artistic control over the composition and color palette. By curating harmonious, vibrant color schemes beforehand, I ensure uninhibited student expression translates into a sophisticated, professional public artwork that fosters deep community pride and elevates everyday institutional spaces.
Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
My 1- or 2-day workshops are designed as deeply immersive, collaborative experiences where students dive right in, taking ownership of the project from the very first brushstroke. I love stepping back and letting go, giving participants the uninhibited freedom to lead the charge as they cover the initial white primer. To ensure the final piece remains visually striking while evolving organically, I use a carefully managed approach: we begin with a strictly limited color palette that expands layer by layer as the day progresses. Because I am always open to shifting gears if the students are inspired with an exciting new idea, the design remains fluid and responsive to their creative impulses. This dynamic balance between structured guidance and true artistic freedom ensures that the finished mural is genuinely shaped by the kids, resulting in a vibrant, authentic public artwork that the whole school community can proudly stand behind.Video
