I’m a Montreal-based composer, sound artist and designer who routinely incorporates drawings and painting into my work. I completed an undergrad in Electroacoustic Studies at Concordia University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Simon Fraser University. I am the recipient of the R. Murray Soundscape Award and have also received a Canada Graduate Scholarship and Michael Smith award for my research in sound studies.

I am Auro Moura, a musician and educator. I hold a Master's degree in Music and a Bachelor's degree in Music Education (UFPR, Brazil). I have worked in various educational settings, including schools, daycares, social projects, and music training programs for teachers. As a musician, singer, and composer, I have contributed to many albums and projects. Currently, I am the director of Les Brasileirinhos and I compose songs and soundtracks for films and advertising.

I began performing regularly as a stand-up comedian in 2004 and in French since 2011. I have toured Canada and the US extensively and have done 2 album recordings. I am also a very interactive host onstage which translates to my outgoing nature behind the curtain. My goal in schools is to demonstrate that all students' thoughts have value and with some encouragement help them realize they can share unique thoughts and original experiences through a fun platform like stand-up comedy.

Being a life long learner in the Arts and Teaching are both passions of mine. My education includes an Early Childhood Education from Vanier, a BFA with a major in Art Education from Concordia and a teaching degree from Berkeley University. I specialize in Watercolour painting which is safe for the student and the environment. My experience allows me to reach students from preschool to seniors. My work in class is to bring out the unique creativity in each individual.

I am a multidisciplinary artist, trained in dance and theatre. My work was presented in 9 different countries. I taught all ages groups including children with ASD. I have a master’s in movement theatre, a bachelor’s in dance and a college degree in Communications and theatre. I am a certified Hatha yoga teacher and reiki practitioner. I offer workshops in arts, devised theatre, theatre, contemporary dance, improvisation, and Argentine tango. Diversity, empowerment, and unicity are my motos.

Art is a language beyond words that allows us to express ourselves. When we create we connect to what it feels like to be alive. Creativity is therapy. Art empowers everyone in a safe space to make choices and initiate our will power. Art taps into the little voice inside each of us that longs to be seen and heard and held. I am grateful for the ways of art making that have met me and joined me in my journeys throughout my life. Arts and crafts connect me to my community.

I am a writer for young adults and my novels offer teens accessible literature about resilience. I am experienced in working with at-risk students, those with learning/behavioral difficulties, and gifted students in enriched classes. I use music, poetry, prompts, improv, and games to unlock creativity. Students will develop exciting characters, making them ready to draft remarkable stories. I create MEQ-aligned workshops, which follow the progressions of learning.

I moved to Quebec City to do my master’s in fine arts three years ago. I am therefore new in the area, and I am looking forward to giving workshops because it's something I really enjoy. I've been working with encaustic since 2004 as the main medium in my practice. Recently I incorporated miniature sculptures, installations and aqua dispersion inks which I really enjoy as well. I am familiar with inks and encaustic workshops and have many different technics that I can show in both mediums.

I am a lifetime Artist and have been a Professional Graphic Designer, Community Arts Educator and Coordinator for Children and Adults for ten years. I’ve worked for several years with diverse populations. By inspiring students to act creatively with mixed media, and by having teachers and community members encourage them throughout the creative process, I will contribute to their understanding of the expression of the medium.

As an artist, designer, and educator, I believe the act of creating has the ability to empower and create deeper empathy for one another. In my six years of experience in the field of education I have welcomed all levels of participants and, similarly to my own practice, I encourage a focus on process. In the past I have lead workshops in vastly different mediums and in each I made efforts of being accommodating to the groups needs and interests ensuring inclusion and comfort of the students.

Kym Dominique-Ferguson is a poet by birth, a theatre performer & filmmaker by training, and a producer by nurture. For over a 25 years he has serenaded Montréal and international audiences with his blending of spoken word poetry and theatre. Teaching the written & spoken word requires patience & adaptability to the students' needs, this is how he approaches every workshop he produces. The objective is to inspire critical thinking and creativity leading them to write & perform their own words.

As a visual artist and educator, I believe in the power of art to enhance learning and mindfulness. I have over ten years of experience in the field of education and art. I enjoy working with students of all levels and in various mediums. I studied visual art and psychology at university, emphasizing creativity as a modality for therapy and education. My workshops tend to focus on the process over the product, encouraging participation and inclusion regardless of skill level.

Taia Goedert is a percussionist and music educator with over 20 years of experience teaching music in daycares, schools, community programs, and university settings. Born in Brazil and based in Montreal, her work focuses on performing and teaching percussion and Brazilian music. Taia is a course lecturer and PhD student in Music Education at McGill University. She is also the co-founder of the music programs Les Brasileirinhos and Chœur Scénique Brésilien.

I'm a young musician who came from another side of the world to pursue music and art professionally. Studying Art in my lifetime taught me a lot that I'd like to share with other students. I always try to give another perception of what most of us see, and dive deeper to music itself and also the philosophical aspect of arts. I have played different genres of music such as Classical, folk, and jazz. Currently I study Music performance at uOttawa and give weekly music lessons to my 15 students.

Everybody has a story inside them, and I love to draw them out. I am a playwright and graphic novelist, and have been teaching for the past few years. I work with marginalized youth, neurodivergent adults and students in the school systems. I teach with humour in a low pressure environment, where the students feel so at ease that they can explore their stories without worry of "doing it wrong". All in all, I believe that the pleasure I get from teaching is reflected in the students experience.

I create visual mashups that combine references to pop culture, memes, art history and symbolism. I believe art should concern everyone and that with the right tools and circumstances, we are all capable of being creative. In schools, I encourage students to express themselves on personal subjects using collage as a starting point. I believe cutting and pasting images to make your own messages is a way to better understand contemporary art and its link with internet culture.

Hi, I’m Julie Pomerleau and I’ve been a watercolour artist for 15+ years. My focus is on authenticity and personal development. Every person has an authentic voice. My goal while working with children and adults is to help them recognize theirs and help them express it in a creative way. Participants walk away from my workshops with creative tools to help them stay true to themselves in a world where we're expected to blend in.

As a teaching artist, I am dedicated to promoting working with clay as a positive learning experience that triggers feelings of fun, curiosity, a sense of observation and humility. I’ve been experimenting with different clay techniques for the past 8 years and have found that working with matter brings focus and peacefulness. I’ve also been giving workshops in daycares, schools and family-oriented community centers for the past 10 years in various forms of art.

Yvon Soglo (B-boy Crazy Smooth - founder of the Bboyizm Dance Company) has been dancing for over ten years during which time he has come to be known as one of Canada's top street dancers. He is now dedicating himself to carrying on the street dance culture in the world of performing arts with the motto "Dance to Express, Not to Impress". In 2006 he was honoured to receive the Most Valuable B-boy award at the annual Kings of NY Competition.
