Part 1: Friday April 29, 1 – 2 pm
Part 2: Friday May 6, 1 – 2 pm
Students will draw a Canadian animal in its environment using pen and ink techniques to co-create a colouring book. Students will learn some basic pencil and pen and ink techniques to create simulated textures (and accompanying vocabulary such as stippling, cross hatching). These will be tied to learning ways to break down reference images into simple shapes for ease of copying. Students will write a small text describing what they learned about their animals. Parents will send the final work to the artist, who will compile it into a pdf to be emailed to all participants.
