As an artist, I explore the complex relationship between humans and nature. To help the vulnerable and the voiceless is what motivates me. For example, my current series “Not So Hopeless” represents successful initiatives saving endangered animals from extinction.

As a teacher, I get a lot of satisfaction out of guiding students through expressing themselves through art. I believe in developing unique and engaging projects that motivate students to create their own unique works of art.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

Specialization: Painting, Murals, Collective Projects

Turn those blank school walls into something beautiful and meaningful! Students will create a mural to express themselves and develop a sense of community. The inspiration is sparked by the students and I guide them to bring their idea to reality as they leave their mark on the school.

Not just limited to walls - I have done projects where students paint on shipping containers, tables, chairs and bulletin boards. Let’s transform your school together!

Artists Inspire
- covers a simple small mural roughly 8x8 feet

Combined funding
- larger more complex projects are possible with funding from the school and or Culture in the Schools

- school must provide funding for the cost of paint ($100-$500 depending on project)
- artist will bring everything needed to create the mural

One-Day Event Description

1) View into an Artist’s Profession

Students will:
- See a quick video that introduces the artist and their work
- Ask the artist questions about their work and profession
- See the artist create live on the spot a professional artwork

2) Interactive Student Component

Students will:
- Paint a section of the mural dedicated to the students (guided by the artist)

The end result will be a mural that will beautify the school and engage students for years to come!
