AFRICAN DRUMMING & DANCING with Préville Fine Arts Centre

Lésouta Luc Bambara has been sharing his culture and his passion for drumming and dancing in schools
throughout Québec for over a decade. In this workshop Luc will give participants a taste of culture from
Burkina Faso, through a fun and energetic introduction to traditional African drumming and dancing.

Themes: Other than Arts, the workshop incorporates elements of STEAM. This workshop provides an opportunity for discussion about belonging in Quebec in the general sense and as a member of the BIPOC community.

Materials: For larger interactive performances, audio equipment, including microphones and microphone
stands. For smaller in-class workshops, enough space to get moving!

Grade Levels: Kindergarten, Elementary Cycle 1, 2, 3, Secondary Grades 7-11
