Choreographer, dance artist and curator, I am driven by the moments when curiosity and adventure collide! Fascinated by the images and stories we carry, I create work that is highly visual, surreal and personal. In working with students, I do not teach how to dance, I teach how to create dance. I share a creative process where the student becomes the artist and constructs moving worlds where their stories and imaginations are put into motion. My goal is to inspire creative autonomy in students.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

HOW DO WE CREATE DANCE?

I offer group and-or solo dance creation workshops where students will be taken through a creative process of dance improvisation and choreography. Students will learn all about how to create dance : staging, costume-making as well as movement, voice, music and image editing. Students will use uncommon dance spaces, such as outdoor landscapes, as their performance stages. In these spaces, they will develop their personal movement, visual imagery and sound. Student's final work will be presented publicly or within their class cohort.

Possible Dance Workshops:

iMoveMe! : Outdoor solo dance-film creation workshop. Using their cell phone and iMovie, students will film and edit movement, sound and image. Work will be based on a personal theme.

Moving Worlds : Group creation workshop that will be performed live or via film. Based on individual sharing of ideas, students will create a collective dance work that expresses a common and meaningful theme.
