Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
As a musician specialized in percussion and Brazilian music, I have interest and experience in teaching the following subjects:- Brazilian percussion
- Body percussion and movement
- Alternative percussion using everyday objects (tables, chairs, household utensils, brooms, among others)
- Bucket drumming
- Brazilian folk songs, rhythms and dances
In my classes and workshops students learn music by MAKING MUSIC. Through a playful environment, I always seek to create a space where students have the opportunity to participate creatively, improvising and composing small pieces of music. Although the focus of my workshops is the process the students will be involved in and not the result, at the end of the workshops, I always try to show a small sample of what we work and learn together, through a live performance or even producing a video.
