Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

I aim to free the voice and mind of youth of all ages. My approach centered of automatic writing and theatricality, allows learners to really appropriate the content that serves best their own needs. Whether you need to move your body along with your text, find a rythm to guide your words, leave a little more what's written on your sheet to connect with who you're communicating to... I believe we all have keys to eachothers development and working on it in group while also valorizing individual strengths is the ideal way to thoroughly improve communication skills.

One-Day Event Description

My autobiography

When I was 16, I decided to write my autobiography as a school project. I want to show students the purpose of sharing your life experiences even when you’re young. After I contextualize what an « autobiography » is, slam poetry and the intent behind my work through performances, I want the students to write chapters of a fictional life (inspired by true stories) in small groups and then present their work.

I can work with any number of students at a time.

The youtube link is my short movie « Slambahia », finalist to the pancanadian contest « La course des régions ». « My autobiography » One Day Event may focus on that short movie, with the same concept (1h30 screening and presentation, followed by 1h artist talk etc). It’s slightly different, but still around life stories, slam poetry and writing.
