In my work, I draw from the inner world of the self, and an experience of change and flow from our connection to the world. I offer ways to embody this through dance and words (both spoken and written). This approach upholds Invention, imagination, empowerment, autonomy and self-determination in students.
I have worked with neurotypical and non-neuro typical school students and adults.
Disciplines: Choreography, dance, speaking and writing informed by sensation and imagery.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

My dances disrupt the way we see our world so that we can re-imagine our relationship to it. I am fascinated by the relationship between imagination and the real - where our imagination guides our actions making them real, and how these real things influence our imagination.

I prioritize collaboration and working from one’s own felt sense and inner world, in this way I advocate for listening to the self and to others. I teach a simple technique for accessing participant’s inner worlds to embody these through dance, gesture and spoken words. I work to create conditions for students to activate their own sense of invention, imagination and and Aha! moments.

Outcomes: students will produce short solo and group performances and small poems all stemming from listening to the self and others. To do this, I work with directions to guide action called scores that we will develop as a group.
