With a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Notre Dame College, Cleveland, and photo residence with Freeman Patterson and André Gallant, I have exhibited representative and impressionist photography in Montreal, New York, Quebec, and Labrador.
I am pre-occupied with what we risk losing, a militant for condemned things. Photography provides a reprieve for passing things. Their effective presentation testifies the preservation of nature, culture, and those things that will inevitably disappear.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

The biggest influences on my photography are impressionist art and graphic design: the first interpretative and free, the second symbolic and precise. I want students to improve their photographic vision to create photos that represent what they feel rather than what they see.

To filter out the objective image and enable students to capture their impressions, class will discuss photos for composition
elements such as:

- Reflections
- Natural filters
- Shadows
- Silhouettes
- Subject framing in image
- Distractions
- Portraits
- Groups.

Students then present their photos for discussion of what they had felt seeing subject and how their image conveys that feeling by use of class elements and students' own creativity.
