Mural Artist Jimmy Baptiste: Teaching Artist, Community Member And Role Model

I take great pride in mentoring and sharing my knowledge with like-minded individuals. Whether it’s shadowing, an apprentice or as an artist assistant, my objective is to promote learning, collaboration and/or engagement in the arts. I work with individuals or groups of people from various communities on collaborative inclusive activities that create a meaningful arts experience, while transmitting hands-on artistic skills and knowledge in a nurturing inclusive environment.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

I have built an extensive career supporting art-based workshops and outreach activities within school and communities in addition to delivering and managing creative hands-on workshops, collective murals, and curated exhibits across Canada. I have led and contributed to contemporary art programs in schools and universities that have focused on positive outreach approaches, including the prevention of, and interventions for, graffiti and street art cultural possess over 14 year's of experience working with various members of the population such indigenous and underfunded communities plus groups of all ages. I take great pride in mentoring and sharing my knowledge with likeminded individuals. Whether it’s shadowing, an apprentice or as an artist assistance, my objective is to promote learning, collaboration and/or engagement in the arts while working with individuals or groups of people from various communities on collaborative activities that create a meaningful arts experience.
