I’m a director, educator and president of Co-op Collective Vision, a multimedia ed company and camp director of Creative Video Day Camp. I have more then 17 years experience teaching hands on, collaborative multimedia projects that empower students to tell their own stories. A strong believer in democratizing the classroom and collaborating with teachers to provide fun, inspiring multimedia projects. Most of my professional experience has been directing music videos and producing documentaries.
Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
My workshops range from Video Production to Stop Motion Animation. I teach through hands-on activities, using professional video equipment and accessible tools like the multiple iPads I bring into the classroom. I tailor each workshop to the needs of the classroom, offering prompts and structure while giving students the flexibility to shape their own creative approach and choose their own subjects. I like to use short, concise presentations and let the students learn by creating works of art, that inspires them.I'm a believer in democratizing the classroom. I like to give students agency and encourage them to take ownership of their work. I work with diverse classrooms where students come in with different skill levels and learning styles. I strive to challenge them enough to get inspired but not too much so that they get discouraged. I can collaborate closely with teachers to design workshops that compliment their curriculum or I can lead independently if that’s what they prefer.
