ZINES ALL WAYS: INTRODUCTION TO ZINE MAKING THROUGH COLLAGE, DRAWING, AND STORYTELLING with Corie Waugh

Join multidisciplinary artist, Corie Waugh, for a hands-on workshop exploring zine creation! This session begins with a brief intro to zines and DIY culture, then dives into crafting your own using collage, drawing, and personal images. Participants will learn paper cutout techniques and storytelling methods to create unique mini-publications—whether personal tales or informational zines. The emphasis of the creations of these zines will be to share them with each other and the community. Previously held in Chevery, QC, for grades 2 through secondary 5, this workshop celebrates creativity and self-expression in an accessible, fun format. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!

Materials: Paper, pencils, markers, pencil crayons, magazines, printer or printed images, scanner/photocopier, gluesticks, staples and stapler.
