CULTURE AND JOURNAL WRITING with Nadine Neema

Participants will explore the Tłı̨chǫ Indigenous culture with the award winning historical fiction novel Journal of a Travelling Girl, which is a coming-of-age story based on the Tłı̨chǫ ancestral lands in the NWT. The workshop also explores the art of journal writing so children can learn this important tool for self-awareness. It can also be combined with students telling stories from their own cultures.
