Jean-Paul is a Montreal-based actor, director, and drama therapist who integrates theatre with mental health and education. His work focuses on identity, storytelling, and emotional expression, using participatory and culturally responsive approaches. He creates inclusive spaces where participants explore their voices, build confidence, and transform personal experiences into meaningful artistic expression.
Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
In my workshops, participants are invited into a dynamic and inclusive space where expressive theatre techniques merge with personal storytelling. I guide them through exercises that explore physicality, voice, and improvisation, encouraging self-expression and creativity. Using modern theatre practices like role-play, movement, and ensemble work, participants engage with social issues, fostering empathy and critical thinking. Workshops are adapted to the needs of the group, I empower students to share their stories and discover their voices. What makes my workshops unique is the emphasis on personal growth and community connection, offering participants a safe environment to explore themselves while learning how theatre can serve as a tool for social change and personal empowerment.Video
