Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
For Kindergarten / Elementary:During your workshop, danielle will be sharing her experience as a graphic designer & illustrator. She will then read one of her books "My Hair" which is meant for Kindergarten or Grade 1s. With the reading of the book they will discuss hair and how it can be in different styles, shapes, etc and how we are all different. The last half of the workshop is based on a colouring session where the children will be able to colour in pages that danielle has designed/illustrated.
For Secondary 1 & 2:
(Ideally based on an on going book related project that the teacher has already started)
During your workshop, danielle will be sharing her experience as a graphic designer & illustrator with detailed visuals from artwork she made when she was a teenager, sharing how she became the professional she is now. After the presentation, we will be able to work on our own book covers and danielle will be able to going around the class and help them with their process.
