I am an award-winning indie-folk artist specializing in songwriting, violin and bilingual music. Raised in a family of musicians, I combine folk traditions with modern tools like looping pedals and effects. I have a degree in jazz violin from McGill, from Didier Lockwood's school in Paris, and have years of performing across Canada/US. I offer dynamic, hands-on workshops tailored for high school students that promote creativity, cultural exchange, and the power of language through music.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

I offer dynamic multi-day workshops for high school students and above, with optional single-day events such as a live concert or recording session to showcase student creations. My workshops foster creativity, promote language learning, musical learning, and encourage cultural exchange through music.
Workshops:
1.Songwriting and Storytelling: Hands-on sessions where students learn about the craft (melodies, storytelling, form) and try their hand at songwriting with my coaching. + optional focus on bilingual songwriting/translation.
2.Introduction to Improvisation for musicians: Learn improvisation basics, with an option to explore looping pedals and effects.
3.Folk Music Traditions: Explore the history of folk music traditions, including protest songs and/or fiddling. Sessions include live musical examples and discussion.
Workshops develop cross-curricular competencies like creativity, communication and cultural identity.
Workshops can be adjusted for your school's needs.
