I graduated as a professional classical ballet dancer and teacher; I also added theater, contemporary and jazz dance into my artistic practice. I earned a master's degree in dance pedagogy in Montreal. I have over 25 years of experience working with people from 3 to 85 years old in diverse contexts. Thanks to my training in Reiki, Mindfulness, Resonance Repatterningamong other methods promoting well-being, I adopt a holistic approach to my teaching and adapt it to the needs of my students.
Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
In my approach I focus on:* Self-confidence, commitment to work, feeling comfortable, respect for oneself and for others and giving the best of themselves.
* Classes take place in a calm and joyful atmosphere.
* My teaching is adapted to the physical, emotional, psychic and energetic capacities of each of the participants.
* I believe that the teaching-learning process is a shared process between the teacher and the learners.
Workshop Example: We begin with a warm-up that connects us to the energy of the sun, to breathe, and to the body. Then, we use exploration and improvisation techniques to allow the body to move freely, connecting with the natural elements: fire, water, air, and earth. We use different types of world music, and children learn to follow the various rhythms. They also learn to connect with their emotions and express them through movement, and to be aware of their personal space sharing the space through dance. Children share their own dance styles too.
