Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
My approach as a guest teaching artist is embodied and playful, as my training is in acting and stagecraft.Examples of workshops I provide are: Creating Character from Adapted Text; Creating Character from Imagination; Performing Shakespeare 101; Scene Study; The Actor and the Monologue; Character through Mask and Puppetry; Bringing your Scene to Life with Music; Stage Combat 101; Balloon Twisting Sculpture Workshop; Adaptation from Text to Stage; Text Analysis as an Actor; Basics of Improvisation; Status Work.
My workshop templates goes as follows: 1. INTRO (who and why; values and container for our time together) 2. TOOLS (the how: warm-up) 3. SKILLS EXPLORATION (game) 4. DISCUSSION (integrated learning) 5. APPLICATION (main activity) 6. CLOSING (debrief and stepping out of the exercise as nervous system regulation).
