I foster space for crucial, creative, physical activity through dance, choreography and performance making with students of all ages and abilities. With over 20 years of professional dance & multi-art practice, I focus on solo and collaborative creation as well as fundamental ballet, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary dance techniques. Movement workshops & performances explore use of integrated objects/props and costumes as well as inclusivity and the possibility for audience participation.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

Participants will be guided through a series of movement vocabularies (including basic dance technique) to develop a sense of curiosity, ease and clarity in the body-mind. In taking time to finely sense our movement as it emerges, without outer expectations or judgments, we can fully dive into our experience and discover new pathways for moving and dancing. Workshops integrate props, costumes and storytelling in dance, choreography and performance making. Part of each workshop is dedicated to improvisational movement for training the imagination and the ways it can be applied freely within other disciplines, courses and social contexts . Students will also be asked to share their movement choices and create choreographies with the class. Performances and workshops are flexible and designed to include students with disabilities and have the option to involve students wanting to *draw/illustrate/paint their classmates' creative process as an alternative expression. *with guest artist*
