I believe that encouraging creativity and body awareness is fundamental to everyone’s well-being. Exploring the beats and rhythms of music in an integral way, using the body as an instrument in a creative process, the goal is to provide joy, stimulate creativity and promote personal expression. My experience with intergenerational musical activities, grounded in the rich Brazilian choro music tradition gives me the tools for conducted workshops from young children and young adults in the heart.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

1.Music and Movement workshop explores rhythms through full-body engagement. Students will play along to traditional Brazilian songs with different rhythms using hand-held percussion and various instruments, and create an original song using body percussion. This workshop fosters happiness, creativity, and teamwork!
2.Choro, a Brazilian music style, comes from a mix of African, Indigenous and European cultures. We share the story of Choro through history and music, by creating a Choro-inspired soundscape together. Explore cultural diversity and see how different traditions can blend to create something special and beautiful. An interactive One Day Event gets everyone dancing and making music!
3.BodyWise uses tools from the Alexander Technique, a body awareness technique for musicians, to boost coordination, posture, and movement. Ideal for band and choir classes, experience the mind-body potential and learn to prevent injury at a young age!
