CREATION OF SOUNDTRACKS FOR FILM with Auro Sanson Moura
In this music creation workshop, students will have the opportunity to explore music composition and sound design for the world of cinema. As a group activity, they will collaborate on a project to create music for a short segment of a film or cartoon defined by the group itself.
Regardless of the chosen musical style or the excerpt to be scored, students will need to organize themselves to achieve the expected final result. The teacher will provide them with the tools to ensure the final outcome aligns closely with the discussions held earlier.
Each grade level will have its own way of perceiving and representing what they want to convey musically. These differences are very interesting concerning children’s development and their perception of the world.
Themes: The workshop has some clear elements of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts obviously…, and Mathematics)
Materials: All materials used will be provided by the artist (various instruments, sound objects, microphones, audio recorder, computer, specialized software, etc).
Grade Levels: Kindergarten, Elementary Cycle 1, 2, 3, Secondary Grades 7-11
