COURAGE AND CREATIVITY with Rob Lutes
In this two- or three-part workshop, Canadian Folk Music Award-winning songwriter Rob Lutes brings students on an inspiring journey through the creative process, offering powerful ideas and techniques that can be applied to any creative endeavor. Rob uses brief surveys of popular music history and from current popular music to illustrate ideas before students create, and learn the value of constraints for the creative process. Students write songs in groups and alone as Rob collaborates with them to bring the works to completion and students experience the exhilarating trial and error process that is at the birth of every song.
