5 – 8 years old

Part 1: Monday November 7, 1 – 2 pm
Part 2: Monday November 14, 1 – 2 pm

In part one of this workshop, we will build winter animal puppets. We will focus on a simple mouse design and use readily accessible materials like cardboard, scissors and glue. We will also look at some more complex designs so that, if they want to, participants can build more complicated puppets between workshops. In part 2 of this workshop, we will focus on bringing these puppets to life and telling stories with them. 

Necessary Materials: something to draw with (pen/pencil/marker), scissors, glue (any of the following will be fine: glue stick, craft glue, hot glue), thin cardboard or cardstock (e.g. old cereal boxes)

Optional Extra Materials: Miscellaneous craft supplies like pipe cleaners, feathers, googly eyes, pom poms, etc, toothpicks or skewers
