Making Radio – Music & Sound

Part 1: Wednesday April 27, 2:30 – 3:45 pm
Part 2: Wednesday May 4, 2:30 – 3:45 pm

In this workshop, participants will create a half-hour radio broadcast together! In part one, we will experiment with recording singing and sounding: (i.e. introducing yourself with your name and a sound that shows how you’re feeling today). In part two, we will try out different sound recording techniques for radio (i.e. field recording and interviewing). The radio broadcast will be edited together by the facilitator and broadcasted live after the workshop!

Important Notes: The sound from this workshop will be recorded (for use in the broadcast).

Materials: a sound recording device (a smartphone, tablet or computer)
