INTRODUCTION TO SONGWRITING

Award-winning songwriter and performer Rob Lutes will guide participants through the process of writing a song. He will introduce the basics of songwriting, show a few poignant examples and lead a writing activity. Over the days that follow, participants will keep writing and editing their work and Rob will provide feedback by email. If you play an instrument, you can definitely use it, but it is not necessary to participate in this workshop.

Target Age Group: 10 and up

Materials: Pencil and paper, musical instrument (optional)
