Call & Echo Collage Collaboration – Visual Art

Ages: 5 + (K and up) (adult family members welcome)

Part 2 / Tuesday February 23, 2021 / 1 – 2 pm

Description:

This workshop explores the magic of creativity through playful collage collaborations. Participants will work together on virtually exchanged artworks, shared through email. Experimenting with the powerful forces of both structure and chance students will use the limits and inspirations of creating using each other’s work as a starting point. Each class will discuss local professional artists’ approaches to collaboration. Students will add to, subtract from or completely reconfigure another student’s work. The result of the workshop will be a portfolio of playful art exercises & possible beginnings for continued works. Each workshop series is a unique experience created in response to the participants and their projects. Come and collaborate with us!

Materials: Please use what you have available and like to use to make your work! For example, pens, pencils, markers, paint (whatever you have), paintbrushes, water pot for brushes, kitchen towel or rag for spills and brush cleaning, scissors, paper, newspapers, magazines, found paper, string/thread, glue (gluestick, white glue), tape, eraser, etc.
