Description: The 1, 2 Step workshop presented by Kayin Queeley from the Montreal Steppers teaches the art form of Step. What is stepping? Step or stepping is the art form of using your body to create rhythm and beats. With hand claps and stomps, students will be active, will discover the power of using their bodies as an instrument and learn how to step. At the end of the first workshop, they will have an opportunity to create some of their own beats and rhythms. The workshop also includes a presentation and dialogue on the history of stepping and the informance of the art form.
Materials: Running shoes, comfortable clothing
