I am a theatre director and creator that specializes in devised, physical theatre - creating art out of an idea. My background is in corporal mime, improv, contemporary dance and Viewpoints (a system of creating images in space). In my thirty year practice, I have worked with professionals and non-professionals through individual and group exercises to encourage concentration, spontaneity and a sense of fun as they discover that out of the ordinary comes the extraordinary.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

I offer a dynamic way to create theatre collaboratively. Using music and physical exercises, I invite participants to explore the non-verbal communication that makes up the heart of a performance and to explore their relationship to the playing space.

I have created workshops for actors, directors and non-professionals, tailored to the needs of each group and to the time available, whether it is an extended residency or a short workshop.

Workshops will focus on:
• ensemble creation
• improv
• space analysis
• physical theatre
• text creation and interpretation (from classical to contemporary writers)
• individual and choral movement sequences

Skills acquired by the participants:
• individual and choral listening
• space awareness
• improve self-confidence in one’s own creativity
• improve openness, readiness and presence
