Being a life long learner in the Arts and Teaching are both passions of mine. My education includes an Early Childhood Education from Vanier, a BFA with a major in Art Education from Concordia and a teaching degree from Berkeley University.

I specialize in Watercolour painting which is safe for the student and the environment. My experience allows me to reach students from preschool to seniors.

My work in class is to bring out the unique creativity in each individual.

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered

My style is to work in collaboration with the teacher to focus on different themes and special events.

I go into different drawing styles, looking at tones, light and shading, colours, positive and negative space, still life, self portraits, landscapes with foreground, middle ground, background, abstract art, using ink, patterns and mandalas. I use my art as well as the master artists as examples.

Utilising the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner and Reggio Emilia in the class, enriches the student’s learning. Awareness of nature is keenly reflected in my teaching.
The student’s interest is my focus with the goal to provide a positive experience, encouraging each student to enjoy the process, while teaching various art elements.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us’’ - Ralph Waldo Emerson

One-Day Event Description

Inspiring Hope and Creativity in Students

The students will feel inspired after seeing a video of art (mine and Master’s) and hearing Vivaldi ‘s Four Seasons music etc., followed by my reading quotes on peace by children, art of landscape (land and sky) and still life. After seeing the beauty in art and music I will read quotes children have written on peace. Then a pencil illustration in three tones on paper will follow the art, music or quotes. The conclusion of this exercise is sharing and discussing the work students produce (age adaptable.)

0-30 students per group
