We leverage the power of art and technology to reverse engineer bias, to find innovative, participatory and creative solutions to social problems. We have joined forces with thousands of students on collective art projects that strengthen our common ideals and our best human skills. Our trained team of artists deliver a turn key program to your school and bring digital art tools directly in the hands of students so they can create media with meaning, and collaborate on larger impactful artworks.
Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
Our team is now delivering an arts-based and digitally fuelled curriculum to prevent teen dating-violence called portraitX. We come to your classroom with a custom art app designed for iPads to engage students in the essential knowledge that supports the Sexual Health Education program, while effecting positive change through collaborative art and media-making. Our app features 6 interactive workshops, a safe chat space, robust resources, unique collaborative creation tools, and much more! Our trained artists/moderators use art and digital media to disrupt gender-based stereotypes and attitudes that can lead to violence, while teaching adolescents how to navigate the emotions that arise within relationships. Our leave-behind is a collective mural installed on the school walls: a large scale mosaic of all the media created by participating students. We also curate a youth-sourced digital media collection to share on social networks (memes, posts, etc) for more positive social impact.Video
