I'm a radio and physical theatre artist. I work with students of all ages to create through sound and gesture, in person and virtually.
I want to focus on their classroom space as the site for a radio broadcast or a piece of theatre. How can we look for clues in the space around us that provide that spark that helps us make something together?
I bring all sorts of tools for creation: game-like structures, listening exercises, movement & singing warm-ups, sound equipment, you name it!

Creative Approach and Experiences Offered
Two workshops I would love to offer schools:Make A Radio Broadcast
We will explore recording content for a radio broadcast. Students will participate in listening and singing/sounding exercises, interview each other and record found sounds. At the end of the workshop, we will host a listening party to listen back to a mixed/edited version of what the class has made ... on the radio!
*In a virtual workshop, we will listen back with an online radio platform.
Intro to Physical Theatre and Collective Creation
Students will be introduced to a variety of techniques that I use with collaborators to make theatre. Students will use games, group singing, clown exercises, and sequences of gestures to create material. This material can eventually become the building blocks for a piece of theatre. Students might also use text (to be agreed on with the teacher) to make short scenes to show each other at the end of the workshop.
